Sandstone Cathedral - Parunuweap Canyon, Utah
A thin stream of sunlight threads the serpentine passages of Mineral Gulch. Eons of erosion from the muddy torrents of raging floods have carved scalloped curves into the Navajo sandstone. Mineral Gulch is a tributary of the Parunuweap Canyon in southwest Utah. A section of the canyon lies within a 30,800 acre Wilderness Study Area that awaits protection from Congress.
