St Vrain Tarn
Indian Peaks Wilderness
Colorado

Like folded hands, the long ridge of St Vrain Mountain is reflected in the mirror surface of an alpine tarn. The ridge is the dividing line between Indian Peaks Wilderness to the south and Rocky Mountain National Park to the north. This small glacier carved lake lies near tree line within the heavily visited wilderness area. Indian Peaks receives more than 100,000 visitors annually to its 73,391 acres and 133 miles of trails.
